Terms and Conditions

All PCBs we supply are repaired / re-conditioned by us unless specifically stated as NEW.

PRICE PROMISE - Our business is all about offering professional service; quality repairs to reliable products that represent best value for money. If you find the direct sale item you want to buy from us is cheaper elsewhere, please let us know. We promise to do our best to match or beat the competition, provided that the refurbished item is identical, in stock and immediately available, and being sold with a full 2 year guarantee.

Please read all this important information which forms part of your contract to purchase a  PCB or a repair service from us!

The Process:

Where an item is offered on a repair only basis, you need to place your order and send us your old PCB*, enclosing a copy of your order. When received, we will repair, fully test and return your PCB, with a 2 year guarantee. Wherever possible, to minimise delay, we aim to complete the repair same day as received.
*Your PCB must be in a repairable condition i.e. complete, original, without cracks, physical damage, no 'attempted' repairs or tampering, &  not  burnt, water damaged, corroded or contaminated. If the manufacturer has enclosed the PCB within a plastic or metal housing/case, these must be intact when the item is received by us. If you are in doubt, to avoid unnecessary delay, please ask for our advice before posting the item to us.

The customer is responsible for the cost in full of postage, taxes, duties or carriage charges/fees involved in sending items to us, and any taxes, fees or duties imposed by governments or carriers at the point of entry into the customer's country /delivery address. Any postage, carriage charges, duties, fees or taxes that  we are charged to receive items will be charged back to the customer, plus our administration/handling charge, and must be paid by the customer before we dispatch or post the item/s.

No items are supplied on a trial basis. We do not refund if you have mis-diagnosed the fault. All  items are supplied in sealed, tamper evident bags, and are tested before dispatch. We supply in clear bags so that you can see the item and ensure you have received the correct part, just as you would if buying in a store. You are responsible for ordering the item you require. BEFORE OPENING the bag, please re-check that the item we have sent is the one you require, because once the sealed bag is opened, under Distance Selling regulations, you cannot return the item for full refund.
Where possible we provide photos on our website to assist with identification, if your PCB is not as shown in the photo, or if you are unsure, please call us before placing your order, so that we can advise you. If your PCB is enclosed in a case (usually plastic, but sometimes metal), or has a heatsink , you must  send us the complete item as shown in our photos. If you are in any doubt about metal plates, heatsinks, wiring etc that may be attached to a PCB, please contact us for advice before sending your item/s. Our website photos and descriptions provide guidance. Our repairs pricing is based upon time taken to repair and test a faulty item in reasonably clean condition. If you send items that are badly soiled/contaminated and have to be cleaned/degreased before they can be worked on, you will be charged for the extra labour time and consumables involved. Our post and packing charges are based upon weight; therefore if you send items we do not require for the repairs process you will be responsible for any excess weight cost in addition to our normal charge.
When sending items to us, please pack securely in a cardboard box to avoid damage, and remember to enclose your contact details. We recommend that you use a traceable courier or postal service.
Please do not send cheques, cash or postal orders - we only accept payment by credit or debit card.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE FAULT REPORTS  & TEST SERVICES - Customers sometimes ask if we will provide a testing service and/or a fault report on their PCB.. We do not provide either of these services. We are professional electronics engineers with considerable expertise gained over completion of more than half a million repairs during nearly 50 years in business. We provide volume repairs, efficiently, reliably and with rapid turnaround. We assume that every PCB we receive has been diagnosed as faulty by a competent person/engineer before it reaches us.  We  visually inspect but do not test items on arrival.. We have a specified repair schedule for each PCB, and only after the repair process is completed, we run full tests. . To  provide reports on individual PCBs would involve significantly more labour time from engineers and administrators, which in turn would make the service much more expensive and cost more than the individual repair itself.

BREXIT - CHANGES FROM 1st JANUARY 2021   Due to legislative changes, from 01/01/21 non EU customers such as  those in UK, may be involved in extra fees/taxes/duties, entirely as a result of Brexit - so please be aware of this before deciding to place an order with us. When sending items to us from United Kingdom you must complete a customs declaration form CN22  at the post office to identify contents of parcels. FAULTY/USED /OLD/NOT WORKING items are of minimal /nil value, and you should identify the contents as such viz:  declare the value of parcel containing faulty items as less than €1 - bear in mind that if the item cannot be repaired it is scrap and has NIL value. When we send PCBs you purchase,  or return repaired items, we complete required  documentation including Customs Declaration forms which are attached to the parcel, and Order copies , showing the cost of repairs/postage/value of your Order. Non EU customers may be required to pay import taxes/duties/fees, over which we have no control and for which we are not responsible.

We strongly advise customers to use Royal Mail International Service when sending items to us from UK, via the post office. If you choose to send items to us by couriers, please note we will not pay extra charges levied, these will be passed on to you as sender. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, any charges/fees that may be imposed by or through couriers or postal services you have chosen to use for sending items to us.  Unless you have previously told us (in writing) that you wish to pay any additional charges /fees/tax that  may be imposed, we will refuse any deliveries where charges are asked for at the time of delivery. If charges are asked for subsequently by or through  postal services or your couriers, but before the item has left us, the items will only be despatched when these charges have been paid for by the customer. If we receive charges connected with sending the item to us , after your repaired item has left us, the invoice will be passed on to you. If it is not paid within 14 days, the guarantee on the item we have supplied/repaired will be void. By placing an order, you are agreeing to pay any taxes, duties, fees, and charges levied by government, customs, couriers or postal services when the items are sent to us or received by you.

Replacement PCBs, Repairs and Guarantee Policy
Guarantees are not transferable except by prior written agreement with us.
We expect your old PCB to be faulty but it must be in a repairable condition - your PCB must be original, complete ( e.g. no physical damage such as cracks or breaks, original components intact , screws in place, case parts and wiring intact, no previous repair attempts )  undamaged by water, corrosion, burning, oil or other contamination. If a PCB has been tampered with, causing non-naturally-occurring faults, it may be unrepairable,  so if you know or suspect that this may have happened, please tell us beforehand as otherwise we may charge an inspection fee. If you are in any doubt about the history of a PCB or viability for repair, please contact us for advice before placing an order.
PCBs often fail due to faults elsewhere, for example,  gas valve, wiring, fan, thermistor, pump etc. Therefore any faults elsewhere in the boiler  or wiring installation must be found and rectified BEFORE connecting the PCB we supply. Parts must be fitted by a qualified/competent person - in the case of UK  customers a Registered Gas Safe Engineer  for gas appliances and/or fully qualified electrician for electric flow boilers) We will not accept guarantee claims on any PCB where it has been been connected  by an unqualified person or to an installation with pre-existing unresolved faults or incorrect voltages/polarity, or where a fault elsewhere subsequently causes the PCB to fail.

Returns & Cancellations Policy.
1.If you wish to cancel an Order, please let us know as soon as possible. In the case of changing your mind after ordering a Direct Sale item, please note it is not possible to cancel after it has left us and while it is in transit. In this event, you will need to refuse delivery of the parcel and it will be returned to us; when received, we will cancel  the order and refund.
Unauthorised returns will not be accepted, so please contact us BEFORE returning any item.
We expect that  before you place an order with us, a competent person will have identified that your PCB is faulty; therefore we will not accept a return or provide a refund in the event of misdiagnosis.
2. All Items we supply are in sealed, tamper evident packaging, so do not open the sealed bag unless you are sure this is the item you want. Correctly supplied  Direct Sale items are subject to a 70% restocking fee,(excluding cost of post/packing, which is not refundable in any event) as all returned items must go through retesting & quality control processes. In the event of a refused delivery or an authorised return, we will only process a refund when an item has been received intact & undamaged and inspected by us.
3.In the unlikely event of a PCB developing a fault within the warranty period, please contact us first  by email or call us for technical advice. If it is necessary to return the item to us, we will provide an RMA number which must be marked on the outside of the package when you return it. The PCB will be tested and if found to be faulty* under the terms of our guarantee, we will at our option supply a repair or replacement with free postage.*Items which have tamper evident security seals broken, have been subjected to damage, dismantling, been tampered with, water damaged or contaminated in any way will not be accepted as under guarantee claims. In the event of a rejected or fraudulent warranty claim, the sender will be responsible for handling and return postage costs. Unauthorised returns without an RMA will not be accepted. Your return postage costs are not refundable, and no refunds are given if an exchange is available. The original warranty period is not extended by a repair or replacement. If an item is tested and no fault found with it, then the customer will be advised and the item returned on payment of inspection and postage/packing charge.

4. Our total liability in any circumstances is limited to the original purchase price of the PCB we supplied to you, or the cost of the repair we provided, and no allowance is made for postal charges and or consequential loss or damage.
5. Due to the large volume of items sent to us and the refurbishment process, in the unlikely event of an 'exchange' purchase being subsequently cancelled, we cannot guarantee to identify/return the same PCB as originally sent to us. If this situation should occur, the customer will be liable for our handling fee and return post/packing charge.

CONSUMER CONTRACTS REGULATIONS & Distance Selling Regulations. Under the regulations you have the right to cancel the contract to purchase within 14 days of receipt of the PCB, and a further 14 days in which to return it.. The extent to which the PCB may be 'handled' by the customer is the same as if the PCB were being assessed  by the customer in a shop.  All our items are supplied in clear, tamper evident, sealed bags which allow the customer to inspect/assess the item.  Therefore, to be eligible for refund, the PCB must be returned  unused and unopened in the tamper evident sealed bag as supplied. In common with sealed items such as audio/video/software and other electronic components, if the seal is broken,  it is not eligible for return under the regulations.  The postage to return the PCB to us will be at your expense, and we advise you to use  a trackable, insured post or courier service to return the item as we cannot process a refund if the item is not received or is lost in transit.

POST/COURIERS/DELIVERIES
We aim to dispatch items promptly; We use Colissimo La Poste and send items via the post office.  We can only control the process to the point of delivering items to the post office or courier, since thereafter, we are then reliant upon them to complete delivery. We will provide tracking/dispatch numbers so that the customer can track their delivery; however we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates/times and will accept no responsibility for delayed, or non-delivered items, or any consequential loss of any kind arising from any failure, damage, loss or delay by couriers or postal service.

Post and packing charges: Please remember there are costs involved in providing cardboard boxes and packaging materials, plus labour time to sort, inspect and pack the PCB's, and transport to and from post offices or courier depots. This is reflected in the cost of our post and packing charges. When you place an order the  postage & packing charge will be shown. We use a service of LaPoste France, however If you wish to use a different courier or express delivery service you can make your own arrangements. We will pack and box the PCB subject to a packing & materials charge of £5 per single item. (depending on quantity and weight, trade bulk purchases subject to separate quote). We advise customers to use the post office to send items to us. We are not responsible for, and will not pay for, any handling charges imposed by couriers you choose to use.
Payments :  Please pay by Debit or Credit card at the website checkout. We do not accept payment by cash, cheque or postal order.
Non EU customers: In the case of cross-border deliveries outside the European Community (e.g. to UK), additional costs may be incurred from 1 Jan 2021 - depending on the legal regulations applicable there - such as additional taxes and/or charges, for example in the form of customs duties or courier handling charges. These costs are not additional postage or shipping costs, we have not imposed them, and they have to be borne by you. Before ordering abroad, you may wish to contact the customs /tax authorities of your country or your courier company  for information. If for any reason, you choose not to accept delivery, we will only process any refund due (and only for the cost of the item less restocking charge) after it has been accepted as an Authorised return with RMA number (see above). The parcel must be received by us with contents intact, unopened & undamaged.

These are our published terms and conditions for the purchase of replacement boiler PCBs  or repair services through the website.
